Karachi Kings fast bowler Abbas Afridi is determined to make a significant impact in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 season as he targets a crucial role in the franchise’s quest for the title. Ahead of their opening fixture against Quetta Gladiators, Abbas expressed his ambition to match his impressive performances from the previous season and play a vital part in the team’s success.

“My objective for PSL 11 is straightforward: to maintain the level of performance I showed last season and consistently contribute to the team,” Abbas stated. The right-arm pacer was a key figure in Karachi Kings’ journey to the playoffs in PSL 10, which was led by captain David Warner.

In his debut campaign with the franchise, Abbas claimed 17 wickets across 11 matches at an average of 23.52, establishing himself as one of the team’s leading bowlers. Reflecting on the squad’s atmosphere, he highlighted the positive morale and shared determination to secure the championship.

“The team spirit is very high. We are all focused on delivering our best and aiming to lift the PSL trophy this season,” he added. Abbas stressed that his main priority remains his bowling, with the goal of helping the team achieve victories through strong individual performances.

“My concentration is on bowling well and playing my part in the team’s overall success,” he remarked. The 24-year-old also expressed confidence in Karachi Kings’ ability to capitalize on their home conditions, noting the advantage of familiarity with the pitches.

“Karachi is our home ground, and the conditions are favorable for us. InshaAllah, we will aim to perform strongly there,” Abbas noted. He concluded by reaffirming his personal ambition for the season, clearly stating his intent to help Karachi Kings secure the PSL title with his bowling prowess.
