Viral ‘Dancing Man’ Video Misattributed to FBI’s Kash Patel Debunked

A video circulating online, claimed to be a leaked clip from FBI Director Kash Patel’s Gmail account showing a man dancing, is not new and has been publicly accessible for several years. Despite recent assertions that Iranian hackers compromised Patel’s personal Gmail, archival records reveal the footage has existed online since at least 2021.

The clip features a man dancing energetically as his wife departs for her home. It was first uploaded to YouTube on March 29, 2021, titled “Do PeG Andar Mandakini Bahar,” accompanied by hashtags like #best, #comedy, #cover, and #dance. A 2022 report described the video as capturing a man’s lively celebration to the song “Sun Sahiba Sun” from the Bollywood film Ram Teri Ganga Maili, with friends cheering him on in the background.

In a significant development, the video reappeared on March 29, 2026, on X (formerly Twitter) with misleading captions claiming it was the “only leaked video from Kash Patel’s Gmail account.” This post caused confusion amid media coverage of Patel’s alleged account breach. However, fact-checkers confirmed the video predates any recent cyberattack by several years.

Lead fact-checking organizations have emphasized that the clip’s renewed popularity does not establish any link to Patel’s email or personal information. Social media users are encouraged to verify the origins of viral content and consult reliable sources to prevent misinformation from spreading.

In summary, the purported “leak” is simply a longstanding viral video that has circulated on YouTube and social media platforms for over five years, with no connection to any Gmail breach or security incident involving FBI Director Kash Patel.
