Pakistan Launches Retaliatory Strikes on Bagram Airbase, Inflicts Significant Damage

In a decisive escalation of its military campaign, Pakistan has carried out targeted airstrikes on the strategically important Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan. This operation marks a significant chapter in Pakistan’s ongoing retaliation against what it terms as hostile actions by the Afghan Taliban regime. The strikes resulted in the destruction of critical infrastructure, including an aircraft hangar and two large warehouses, severely impacting the Taliban’s operational capabilities at the base.

The Pakistani Air Force’s precision attacks have been corroborated by satellite imagery and confirmed by international media outlets, underscoring the scale and effectiveness of the operation. These developments come amid heightened tensions between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban, with Islamabad determined to neutralize threats emanating from across the border. Security officials have emphasized that these counterattacks are part of a broader, sustained campaign designed to dismantle Taliban strongholds and disrupt their logistical networks.

Just a day prior to the Bagram airstrike, Pakistani forces successfully targeted an ammunition depot and a drone storage facility in Jalalabad, further crippling the Taliban’s military resources. These consecutive strikes highlight the strategic depth and operational reach of Pakistan’s air campaign, known as Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, which continues to deliver significant blows to Taliban infrastructure and personnel.

Since the launch of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, Pakistani military sources report that over 400 Taliban fighters have been killed, with more than 630 others wounded in a series of coordinated air raids. The operation has targeted 51 distinct locations within Afghanistan, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to undermining Taliban control. On the ground, the Pakistan Army has also been active, destroying 188 Taliban check posts and capturing 31 others, while eliminating nearly 190 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery pieces belonging to the insurgents.

These developments reflect Pakistan’s commitment to securing its borders and combating militant threats that have long destabilized the region. The Information Minister reiterated that the air operations have been meticulously planned and executed to maximize impact on Taliban infrastructure while minimizing collateral damage. As the campaign progresses, Pakistan remains focused on ensuring long-term security and stability in the region through sustained military pressure on hostile elements.
