Pakistan’s Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq Strikes Decisive Blow Against Afghan Taliban Aggression

Pakistan’s political leadership has come together in a rare display of unity to strongly condemn the recent aggression by the Afghan Taliban, reaffirming their unwavering support for the armed forces engaged in Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq. This military campaign, launched in response to escalating cross-border attacks, aims to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against hostile incursions. The operation has reportedly dealt a significant blow to the Afghan Taliban, signaling Pakistan’s resolve to counter any threats emanating from its western border.

Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar provided detailed insights into the progress of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, highlighting the substantial damage inflicted on Taliban forces. He revealed that the operation resulted in the deaths of 133 Taliban operatives, with over 200 others sustaining injuries. The strikes targeted key Taliban defensive positions in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar, areas known for their strategic importance to the insurgent group. In addition to these casualties, the destruction of 27 Taliban posts and the capture of nine others underscore the operation’s tactical success.

Further elaborating on the military achievements, Tarar mentioned the role of Pakistan Air Force jets in dismantling critical Taliban infrastructure. The air strikes destroyed two corps headquarters, three brigade headquarters, two ammunition depots, a logistics base, three battalion headquarters, and two sector headquarters. The operation also neutralized more than 80 tanks, artillery guns, and armored personnel carriers, severely crippling the Taliban’s operational capabilities. These developments mark a significant escalation in Pakistan’s efforts to secure its borders and disrupt militant networks.

Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the Afghan Taliban’s targeting of civilian populations, describing such actions as cowardly and unacceptable. He emphasized that the Pakistani armed forces responded decisively to these provocations, particularly attacks launched under the cover of darkness aimed at innocent civilians. Naqvi’s remarks underscored the government’s commitment to protecting its citizens and maintaining internal security, warning that any further aggression would be met with equally strong retaliation.

Adding to the chorus of condemnation, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry drew parallels between the current situation on Pakistan’s western border and the ongoing tensions with India on the eastern front. He criticized the Taliban’s alleged use of child suicide bombers, labeling terrorism as their sole strategy. Chaudhry reiterated Pakistan’s stance that peace and dialogue remain the preferred paths to resolving conflicts but made it clear that the country would not tolerate any attempts to destabilize its peace and security.

On the political front, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry accused Afghanistan of acting as a proxy for India, alleging that the Taliban’s aggression is part of a broader strategy orchestrated by New Delhi to undermine Pakistan. He highlighted Pakistan’s repeated efforts to raise the issue of terrorism emanating from Afghan soil at international forums, stressing the need to expose India’s involvement in supporting such hostile activities. This accusation adds a complex geopolitical dimension to the ongoing conflict, reflecting longstanding regional rivalries.

Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq also condemned the unprovoked attacks, praising the swift and effective response of Pakistan’s security forces. He warned that Afghanistan’s role as an Indian proxy threatens regional stability and reiterated Pakistan’s determination to defend its territorial integrity at all costs. Sadiq cautioned that Pakistan’s restraint should not be mistaken for weakness, signaling a firm stance against any future provocations.

Other prominent political figures joined the chorus of condemnation. Federal Minister for Education and MQM Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui described the Afghan Taliban’s actions as influenced by India, targeting a fellow Muslim nation. He assured that Pakistan’s defenders and its people would remain vigilant and resolute in protecting the country’s sovereignty. Parliamentary Secretary for Information Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability, urging that Afghan territory should not be exploited as a safe haven for terrorist activities. He reminded that Pakistan continues to host Afghan refugees as guests, underscoring the country’s humanitarian stance despite ongoing security challenges.

Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon expressed disappointment over Afghanistan’s ingratitude, recalling Pakistan’s support during difficult times and condemning past terrorist attacks on schools and places of worship within Pakistan. Meanwhile, PPP leader Sherry Rehman asserted that Afghanistan would soon witness Pakistan’s firm response to aggression, reiterating that while Pakistan has always advocated for peace, it will not hesitate to defend its borders with full force if necessary.

In summary, Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq represents a critical chapter in Pakistan’s ongoing struggle to secure its western frontier against militant threats. The unified stance of the country’s political leadership, combined with decisive military action, sends a clear message that Pakistan remains committed to defending its sovereignty and ensuring peace within its borders. The operation’s success in inflicting heavy losses on the Afghan Taliban underscores the seriousness with which Pakistan views any form of aggression and its readiness to respond robustly to protect its national interests.
