The Met Office has predicted the onset of rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Karachi and several districts of Sindh beginning tomorrow. This weather change is attributed to a westerly system advancing towards southwestern Balochistan, expected to bring heavy rainfall and isolated hailstorms today.

Districts including Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, and Sukkur are forecasted to experience rain, strong winds, thunderstorms, and occasional hail from April 2 through April 4. Meanwhile, precipitation is also anticipated across Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir starting today.

In Balochistan, heavy rain and thunderstorms with isolated hail are likely in districts such as Panjgur, Turbat, Kech, Awaran, the Makran Coast, and Lasbella. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will see rain and thunderstorms in areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Kalam, with snowfall expected in the mountainous zones.

Several districts in Punjab and the Islamabad region are also forecast to receive rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms. Cities like Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Sargodha may witness moderate rain, while heavier downpours are expected in Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding areas.

Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir will experience similar weather patterns, including rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall in higher elevations. Some locations may also face heavy rain and hailstorms.

The weather department has indicated that daytime temperatures across the country are likely to drop significantly, with the possibility that this forecast period may be extended depending on evolving conditions.
