Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq Inflicts Heavy Losses on Afghan Taliban Forces

Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar announced a major breakthrough in the ongoing military campaign against the Afghan Taliban with the conclusion of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq. The operation dealt a severe blow to Taliban forces, with the minister confirming that 583 militants were killed and more than 795 others sustained injuries during the offensive. This significant toll underscores the intensity and scale of the military action undertaken to curb insurgent activities in the region.

Delving deeper into the details of the operation, Ataullah Tarar revealed that Pakistani forces successfully targeted and dismantled 242 Taliban checkpoints. These strategic positions, which served as critical strongholds for Taliban control and movement, were completely destroyed. Additionally, 38 other Taliban outposts were seized by the military before being demolished to prevent any future use by insurgents. This systematic neutralization of Taliban infrastructure highlights the operation’s focus on crippling the enemy’s operational capabilities.

Beyond the destruction of manpower and checkpoints, the offensive also targeted the Taliban’s military hardware. The minister reported that a total of 213 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery units belonging to the Taliban were destroyed during the course of the operation. This loss of heavy weaponry is expected to significantly degrade the Taliban’s ability to mount large-scale attacks or defend their territories effectively.

Airpower played a crucial role in the success of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, with airstrikes conducted on 64 distinct locations across Afghanistan. These precision strikes were instrumental in neutralizing Taliban positions and disrupting their command and control networks. The coordinated use of ground forces and air support demonstrates the comprehensive approach adopted by the military to ensure maximum impact against insurgent forces.

Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq represents one of the most extensive offensives against the Taliban in recent times, reflecting the ongoing commitment of Pakistani security forces to stabilize the region. By targeting key Taliban strongholds and diminishing their military assets, the operation aims to restore security and prevent the resurgence of militant activities. The success of this campaign is a testament to the resilience and strategic planning of the military in confronting the persistent threat posed by the Taliban insurgency.
