Sehwan Police Rescue 14-Year-Old Girl Sold for Rs1 Million in Kidnapping Case

In a significant breakthrough, the Sehwan police have managed to rescue a 14-year-old girl who had been missing for over two weeks after being abducted from the Kacha area of Khairpur. The young girl, identified as Naila Chandio, was found and safely recovered following a targeted police operation. This case has drawn widespread attention due to the disturbing circumstances surrounding her kidnapping and subsequent sale.

Naila, who had been living a modest life selling thread outside the revered Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine in Sehwan, was reportedly kidnapped 15 days ago. The police investigation revealed that the abductors had sold her for a staggering sum of Rs1 million, highlighting the grim reality of human trafficking networks operating in the region. This incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of vulnerable children in rural areas.

Authorities arrested two suspects believed to be part of an inter-provincial kidnapping ring during the rescue operation. The detained individuals are currently undergoing interrogation, with police confident that further arrests will follow as the investigation unfolds. The law enforcement officials are working diligently to dismantle the entire gang responsible for this heinous crime.

The kidnapping case was initially reported by Naila’s mother, Zarina, who filed a complaint naming several suspects, including Waqar and Zulfiqar, along with others. The FIR detailed that the abduction was carried out by laborers working on the Sehwan canal, who exploited their access to the area to carry out the crime. After the initial kidnapping, Naila was held in Nawabshah before being moved to the Kacha area of Khairpur, indicating a deliberate attempt by the kidnappers to evade detection.

Following her rescue, Naila has been reunited with her family, bringing relief to her loved ones and the local community. The police have assured the public that they are taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of children and to prevent such incidents in the future. This case also underscores the urgent need for enhanced security and vigilance around vulnerable populations, especially near religious and public gathering sites.

As the investigation continues, authorities remain committed to bringing all those involved to justice. The successful recovery of Naila Chandio serves as a reminder of the critical role law enforcement plays in combating kidnapping and trafficking crimes in Pakistan.
