Attaullah Tarar Announces Major Success in Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq Against Taliban Fighters

Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, recently provided a comprehensive update on the progress of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, a military campaign aimed at dismantling Taliban strongholds across Afghanistan. He revealed that the operation has inflicted significant damage on the Afghan Taliban, resulting in the death of 527 militants and injuring over 755 others. This development marks a substantial blow to the insurgent group’s operational capabilities.

Elaborating on the ground achievements, Tarar highlighted that security forces have successfully destroyed 237 Taliban check posts, which were critical for the militants’ control and movement. In addition to these destructions, Pakistani forces managed to capture 38 enemy positions, further weakening the Taliban’s hold in several contested areas. These tactical gains demonstrate the effectiveness of the ongoing campaign in disrupting militant networks.

Moreover, the minister disclosed that the operation has resulted in the destruction of 205 pieces of Taliban military hardware, including tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns. This loss of heavy weaponry significantly reduces the Taliban’s ability to mount large-scale attacks or defend their territories effectively. The targeted strikes have also extended to 62 locations across Afghanistan, where air operations have successfully damaged militant hideouts and key military installations.

Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, launched with the objective of crippling Taliban infrastructure and restoring stability in the region, continues to advance under a well-coordinated strategy. Tarar emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to pushing forward with the operation until its goals are fully realized. The ongoing offensive reflects Pakistan’s broader efforts to combat terrorism and secure its borders from insurgent threats.

It is worth noting that this operation comes amid heightened regional security concerns, with the Afghan Taliban seeking to consolidate power in various parts of Afghanistan. The Pakistani military’s proactive approach aims to prevent spillover effects and maintain peace along its western frontiers. As the campaign progresses, further updates are expected regarding the impact on militant capabilities and the overall security situation in the region.
