Additionally, residents moving between the G-6 and F-6 sectors are encouraged to utilize the China Chowk underpass or take a detour via Seventh Avenue leading to Jinnah Avenue, which remains open for traffic.
Further diversions include rerouting vehicles from Abpara Chowk towards Serena Hotel and advising drivers coming from Club Road or Bara Kahu to follow a longer path via Kashmir Chowk, Srinagar Highway, Seventh Avenue, and Margalla Road. These measures aim to disperse traffic evenly and reduce bottlenecks during the protest period. The traffic restrictions coincide with a planned protest march scheduled to move from the G-6 sector to D-Chowk, a hotspot for political demonstrations in Islamabad. As a result, all roads leading directly to D-Chowk are expected to remain closed throughout the duration of the protest to prevent overcrowding and maintain security.
