In a solemn gesture reflecting the close ties between Pakistan and Iran, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi visited the Iranian Consulate in Peshawar on Thursday. The visit was marked by a heartfelt meeting with the Iranian Consul General, during which Afridi extended his deepest sympathies following the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as other senior Iranian leaders.
Accompanying the Chief Minister was Shafi Jan, the Special Assistant on Information, who was present to witness the exchange of condolences and to support the diplomatic engagement. The gathering underscored the shared grief felt by both nations over the loss of a prominent figure whose influence extended well beyond Iran’s borders.

Afridi offered prayers for the departed soul, beseeching Allah Almighty to grant the late Supreme Leader the highest place in Jannah and to bestow eternal peace upon him.
He also prayed for strength and patience for the Iranian people, acknowledging the immense pain caused by this irreparable loss.
