In a recent incident in southern Kuwait, debris from intercepted drones caused a temporary disruption to two overhead power transmission lines, prompting immediate action from the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy. The official spokesperson, Engineer Fatima Hayat, confirmed that the affected lines were quickly taken out of service as a precautionary measure to prevent any further complications.

Despite the potential risk posed by the drone debris, the Ministry’s contingency protocols were effectively implemented, ensuring that no power outages were experienced by consumers. Electrical loads were promptly redirected through alternative transmission routes, following a pre-approved operational plan designed to maintain network stability and continuous power delivery across the affected regions.

Specialized emergency response teams were dispatched without delay to the site to evaluate the extent of the damage and initiate necessary repairs. These teams are working diligently, adhering to stringent safety and technical standards to restore the infrastructure to full functionality as swiftly as possible. Their efforts are critical in minimizing any long-term impact on the power grid.

Engineer Hayat further reassured the public that the core utilities, including electricity generation, water desalination, and transmission systems, remain fully operational and are under constant surveillance to guarantee uninterrupted service. The Ministry continues to monitor the situation closely to respond to any emerging challenges effectively.

In light of the incident, the Ministry urged residents and citizens to rely exclusively on verified official communications to avoid misinformation and unnecessary panic. Updates will be shared regularly as the repair work progresses and more information becomes available. Concluding her statement, Engineer Hayat invoked prayers for the safety and protection of the nation and expressed appreciation for the ongoing security and stability maintained under the country’s leadership.
