In Lahore, a 20-year-old foreign woman provided her statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) before a judicial magistrate on Monday in connection with an alleged sexual assault case. The statement was taken by Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Sagheer at the Cantt Kacheri, with stringent security measures in place.
The woman was escorted to the court under heavy security and was safely taken out via a secure route following the proceedings. Meanwhile, police have detained three individuals linked to the case; however, the primary suspects remain at large. Special teams are actively conducting raids to apprehend them, and authorities have initiated steps to place their names on the Exit Control List to prevent their departure from the country.
Earlier investigations revealed that two of the three alleged perpetrators have been identified. Law enforcement officials also recovered a white Hyundai Sonata, reportedly used to transport the woman, from the residence of a relative of the main suspect. This vehicle has been secured at the Defence C police station for further examination.
The victim stated that two unidentified women initially took her to a café where three men were present. She claimed that the group then moved her to a flat, where she was given an intoxicating substance and subsequently sexually assaulted by the three men. She further alleged that her mobile phones and other personal belongings were confiscated before she was abandoned near the airport.
The case is registered at the Defence C police station. Authorities confirmed that the woman underwent an initial medical examination, with a comprehensive medical report still pending. The investigation remains ongoing as police continue their efforts to bring the suspects to justice.
