Security forces eliminated nine terrorists in Mastung district of Balochistan during an operation conducted under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3. The incident occurred after militants attempted to assault a security post located in the Kanak Valley area.
In the initial clash, two terrorists were killed as security personnel responded promptly to the attack. The remaining militants tried to escape but were pursued, resulting in the deaths of seven additional terrorists during the follow-up operation.
One security official sustained injuries in the firefight and was promptly transferred to a hospital for medical care. Authorities recovered a significant cache of weapons and ammunition along with three motorcycles from the slain terrorists.
Security forces are currently carrying out a search and clearance operation in the region to locate any remaining militants. This operation follows a similar intelligence-based raid in the Saran Tangi area of Balochistan, where six terrorists were killed and nine suspects arrested under Operation Shaban-2.
The Saran Tangi operation targeted militants linked to the group identified by the government as Fitna al-Hindustan, with a large quantity of arms seized from the deceased terrorists. These recent actions form part of ongoing efforts against militant factions in Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has commended the security forces for their continued operations against insurgents in the province, emphasizing that efforts to dismantle groups labeled Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij will persist.
