Nadra and FBISE Collaborate to Digitize Student Registration and Certificates

The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) and the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) have formalized a partnership to integrate the student registration system for Matriculation and Intermediate examinations. The agreement was signed at Nadra Headquarters in Islamabad, with FBISE Chairman Dr. Ikram Ali Malik and the Nadra Chairman present at the ceremony.

In a significant development, the pact establishes a mutual data-exchange mechanism that allows Nadra to supply the federal board with essential student information directly from its registry. This includes details such as the student’s full name, father’s name, and date of birth. The initiative is designed to reduce data inconsistencies and errors during the registration process, while improving administrative efficiency by ensuring the issuance of accurate and verifiable academic credentials.

Meanwhile, the collaboration also involves creating a secure Digital Wallet system. This platform will enable students to access, store, and digitally share their educational certificates conveniently. The partnership aligns with Nadra’s wider strategy to integrate the national identity database with educational records.

As part of this broader programme, Nadra is steadily working to facilitate seamless digital data-sharing among secondary and higher secondary education boards, universities, and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) across the country, aiming to modernize and streamline educational record management nationwide.
