In the wake of the reported martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has made a heartfelt appeal to the public, urging them to maintain peace and order during their protests. Recognizing the gravity of the moment, Naqvi described the day as profoundly sorrowful not only for Iran but for the entire Muslim world, including Pakistan.

Minister Naqvi emphasized the deep emotional connection shared between the people of Pakistan and Iran, highlighting that Pakistanis are mourning alongside their Iranian brothers and sisters. He referred to Ayatollah Khamenei as a martyr, underscoring the significance of his passing and the impact it has on millions across the region. This expression of solidarity reflects the longstanding cultural and religious ties between the two nations.

In his address, the Interior Minister called upon citizens to exercise patience and self-discipline while expressing their grief. He stressed the importance of adhering to legal frameworks and ensuring that all demonstrations remain peaceful and respectful of public safety. Naqvi’s message was clear: while it is natural to feel sorrow and anger, these emotions must not lead to violence or disorder.

Furthermore, Naqvi encouraged protesters to document their activities responsibly, advocating for peaceful and secure methods of expressing dissent. This guidance aims to balance the right to protest with the need to maintain law and order, especially during such a sensitive period. The government’s stance reflects its commitment to upholding public safety while acknowledging the public’s right to mourn and voice their sentiments.

As the situation continues to develop, the Interior Minister’s call for calm serves as a crucial reminder of the importance of unity and restraint during times of collective grief. The Pakistani authorities remain vigilant and prepared to support peaceful expressions of solidarity, ensuring that the nation navigates this challenging moment with dignity and respect for the rule of law.
