Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar revealed significant developments in the ongoing military campaign known as Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, targeting Taliban militants across the Afghanistan border. He confirmed that the operation has resulted in the deaths of 331 Afghan Taliban fighters, while more than 500 insurgents have sustained injuries. This operation marks a decisive effort by Pakistan’s security forces to counter cross-border militancy and restore stability in the volatile border regions.

Expanding on the progress made during the operation, the minister detailed that Pakistani forces have successfully dismantled 104 Taliban check posts, severely disrupting the militant group’s control and movement in the area. Additionally, 22 of these strategic positions were captured, further weakening the Taliban’s foothold. The destruction of these posts represents a critical blow to the insurgents’ infrastructure and command networks.

In terms of military hardware, Attaullah Tarar highlighted the destruction of 163 tanks and armed vehicles belonging to the Taliban, which significantly reduces their operational capabilities. The Pakistani military also conducted precise aerial strikes targeting 37 locations inside Afghanistan, aiming to dismantle militant hideouts and supply routes. These air operations complement ground offensives, showcasing a coordinated approach to neutralize the threat.

Meanwhile, security officials have confirmed that Pakistan’s military continues to engage the Taliban on multiple fronts, both on land and through air power. These operations come in response to unprovoked aggression from the Afghan Taliban regime, which has escalated tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in recent weeks. The military campaign is reportedly inflicting setbacks on the Taliban across various sectors, including the strategically important Killa Saifullah area.

Specifically, in the Killa Saifullah sector, Pakistani forces have completely destroyed the Rahim Thana post located inside Afghanistan. This achievement underscores the effectiveness of the ongoing offensive in dismantling Taliban strongholds. Security officials emphasized that all military actions are strictly confined to legitimate military targets, ensuring that civilian populations and non-combatants remain unharmed during these operations.

The overarching objective of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq is to secure peace and stability along the border regions by curbing militant activities and defending Pakistan’s sovereignty. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, maintaining a vigilant stance to prevent any further escalation. This operation reflects Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its borders and protecting its citizens from the persistent threats posed by cross-border terrorism.
