Security forces successfully neutralized 32 terrorists associated with India-sponsored militant groups in separate intelligence-driven operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan within the last 24 hours, the military’s media wing announced on Wednesday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that these operations targeted the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also known as “Fitna al Khwarij,” and the “Fitna al Hindustan” networks. These efforts are part of a broader campaign to eradicate terrorists and their facilitators from both provinces.

In the Khyber district of KP, security forces carried out multiple intelligence-based raids during the night of July 28-29, resulting in the elimination of 24 militants affiliated with the TTP after engaging several militant hideouts, the ISPR confirmed.

Meanwhile, in the Nushki district of Balochistan, eight terrorists linked to militant groups in the region or the Fitna al Hindustan network were killed following a fierce exchange of gunfire. Weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices recovered from the sites were subsequently destroyed.

In a significant development, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their effective operations. He commended the professionalism of the officers and personnel involved in eliminating 24 Khwarijis in Khyber and eight Fitna al Hindustan terrorists in Nushki.

The prime minister reiterated the government’s commitment to continue the fight against terrorism until the threat is completely eradicated from the country. He emphasized that security forces are taking decisive action against those who aim to disrupt peace and assured that the entire nation stands united with the armed forces in safeguarding the homeland.

The ISPR added that sanitization operations are ongoing in the affected areas to remove any remaining militants. The counterterrorism campaign, conducted under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” framework approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will proceed at full speed to combat foreign-sponsored terrorism.
