Atta Tarar Alleges India-Backed Propaganda by Joint Action Committee

Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has publicly accused the Joint Action Committee of participating in a propaganda campaign supported by India, asserting that a disinformation network linked to India is actively working to undermine Pakistan. In a detailed address to the nation, he highlighted the arrest of an individual by security forces who was allegedly involved in disseminating false information aimed at destabilizing the country.

Tarar emphasized that this propaganda effort is primarily conducted through various social media platforms, where misleading narratives against Pakistan and its institutions are being circulated. He further pointed out that these attempts are part of a broader strategy to incite unrest in Kashmir by empowering groups that operate outside the law, thereby threatening regional stability.

In a significant development, the minister revealed that concrete evidence has emerged showing Indian financial support and direct connections with the banned Joint Action Committee. This revelation underscores the ongoing efforts to manipulate public opinion and fuel discord within Pakistan and the Kashmir region.

Moreover, Atta Tarar asserted that Pakistan has made considerable progress in countering India on both military and diplomatic fronts. He noted that authorities have identified numerous Indian social media accounts that are actively involved in spreading anti-state propaganda. These measures reflect Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and maintaining internal security against external interference.
