Section 144 Extended, Outdoor Drone Flying Prohibited for 30 Days

The government has extended the enforcement of Section 144, a legal provision that restricts public gatherings, to ensure continued peace and security. Alongside this, a prohibition on outdoor drone operations has been imposed for a duration of 30 days. This measure aims to prevent unauthorized aerial surveillance and potential security threats during this period.

Section 144 is often invoked to curb large assemblies that might lead to unrest or disrupt law and order. The current extension indicates ongoing concerns about maintaining stability in sensitive areas or during critical times. The drone flying ban complements these efforts by controlling airspace usage, which could otherwise be exploited for unlawful activities.

In a significant development, these restrictions reflect the authorities’ proactive stance on public safety and technological oversight. The 30-day timeframe provides a window for monitoring and reassessing the situation, balancing security needs with civil liberties. Such measures highlight the evolving challenges posed by emerging technologies in governance and law enforcement.
