Pakistan has firmly dismissed a statement from India’s Ministry of External Affairs, labeling it as unfounded and fabricated. The Foreign Office spokesperson described the Indian remarks as part of a deliberate propaganda effort designed to mislead the global community.
Emphasizing the legitimacy of its recent counter-terrorism actions, Pakistan clarified that its operations targeting militant hideouts in Afghanistan are precise, justified, and proportionate, with the sole objective of neutralizing threats to national security.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson highlighted India’s well-documented history of infringing upon the sovereignty and territorial integrity of neighboring states. The Foreign Office underscored that New Delhi has repeatedly violated the United Nations Charter, thereby endangering peace and stability across the region.
In a significant development, Pakistan accused India of being a major destabilizing force in South Asia by actively breaching UN Security Council sanctions. The statement pointed out that while India attempts to divert attention through inflammatory rhetoric, it continues to harshly suppress the Kashmiri people’s legitimate right to self-determination in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Furthermore, the Foreign Office alleged that India’s state-backed subversive activities extend beyond its borders, claiming New Delhi supports terrorist groups operating from Afghan territory to carry out destabilizing actions within Pakistan.
The spokesperson called on the international community to recognize India’s intentions and reject its baseless accusations and provocative statements. Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to counter external threats, the statement concluded that Islamabad will persist in taking all necessary measures, fully aligned with international law, to safeguard the security, sovereignty, and safety of its citizens and territory.
