PAF Jets Perform Aerial Salute for Iranian President Pezeshkian in Islamabad

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter jets delivered a striking aerial salute to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian as he arrived in Islamabad for an official visit. This marks Pezeshkian’s first foreign trip since the US and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28.

The Iranian President’s visit follows Islamabad-mediated negotiations between Tehran and Washington held in Switzerland. Notably, Pakistan and Qatar recently announced that the initial round of high-level US-Iran talks in Burgenstock, Switzerland, resulted in a 60-day roadmap aimed at reaching a final agreement.

Upon entering Pakistani airspace, President Pezeshkian’s aircraft was met by a dedicated PAF escort squadron. A formation of six fighter jets, including JF-17 Thunder and F-16 aircraft, accompanied the presidential plane, providing a ceremonial salute to honor the distinguished visitor.

The formation leader extended warm regards from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the people of Pakistan to the Iranian President. This traditional aerial escort by the Pakistan Air Force underscored the nation’s enduring hospitality and respect for visiting heads of state.

Moreover, the involvement of JF-17 Thunder and F-16 jets highlighted the advanced operational capabilities and professionalism of the Pakistan Air Force, reinforcing its role in diplomatic protocol and national defense.
