Pakistan Rangers Sindh conducted an intelligence-driven operation on Monday in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth area, resulting in the arrest of three individuals suspected of involvement in a criminal gang responsible for multiple robberies, street crimes, and motorcycle thefts.
The detained suspects have been identified as Sher Ali, believed to be the leader of the so-called “Sher Group,” along with Hayatullah and Riaz Khan. During the raid, authorities recovered a stolen motorcycle, a mobile phone, and cash from their possession.
Officials revealed that the gang, including the arrested men and their associates, had been active in various areas such as Gabol Town, the Industrial Area, Sohrab Goth, and nearby localities. Their criminal activities reportedly encompassed robbery, mobile phone snatching, and motorcycle thefts.
Described as habitual offenders, the suspects have a criminal record, with Sher Ali already facing charges registered at the Sohrab Goth police station. Investigations are ongoing to determine the group’s involvement in other crimes reported throughout Karachi.
In a significant development, closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage captured a recent motorcycle theft in Gabol Town, which played a crucial role in identifying and tracking down the suspects. Authorities are continuing efforts to apprehend additional members of the gang.
The arrested individuals, along with the recovered items, have been handed over to police for further investigation and legal action.
