Six Dead in Qilla Abdullah Shooting as Violence Escalates

The death toll from the Mizei Adda shooting in Qilla Abdullah has climbed to six after two injured victims passed away in hospital, police confirmed on Monday. Armed assailants on motorcycles opened fire late Sunday night at individuals gathered in a hotel, killing four instantly. Two others succumbed to their injuries later, raising the total fatalities to six.

In the aftermath, relatives of the victims staged a sit-in on the Quetta–Chaman highway, blocking all traffic and causing significant disruption for commuters and transport vehicles. Authorities reported that the suspects fled the scene, and police have launched raids to apprehend them. Large contingents of law enforcement have been deployed, with officials assuring the public that the situation is under control and security measures remain heightened.

Meanwhile, a separate violent incident occurred in Gulistan, where a late-night armed confrontation between two groups resulted in one fatality. Following the clash, one faction set fire to two houses belonging to their opponents. Residents of the affected homes were relocated to safer areas, but valuable possessions were lost in the fires. Tensions in the locality remain elevated.

In response to both events, additional police forces have been assigned to sensitive sites, and search operations are ongoing to capture those responsible. Investigations into both cases continue as security agencies strive to restore peace and normalcy in the region.
