Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi conducted an on-site visit to the Pakistani Hajj camps located in Mina, where he closely examined the arrangements and services provided to pilgrims. During his inspection, the minister toured several camps and engaged directly with the pilgrims to evaluate their accommodation, food, and other essential amenities.
In a notable interaction, Naqvi met with elderly pilgrims, including a centenarian Haji, inquiring about their health and wellbeing while offering reassurance and support. He took a personal interest in the quality of lodging and catering services, asking detailed questions to ensure standards were being met.
Many pilgrims acknowledged encountering some challenges but appreciated the cooperation and responsiveness of the on-site staff in addressing their concerns. The interior minister commended the Ministry of Religious Affairs, especially Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and his team, for their dedicated management of the arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj.
Naqvi assured the pilgrims that government personnel were readily available to resolve any issues and reiterated the administration’s commitment to making their stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. He also highlighted significant improvements in immigration facilitation for Pakistani pilgrims this year, attributing these advancements to the Saudi authorities’ efforts to streamline processing.
Expressing gratitude, the minister thanked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj for their exceptional support and cooperation in enhancing services for Pakistani pilgrims. Officials noted that the visit was intended to review on-ground arrangements and confirm that all necessary measures were in place to assist pilgrims throughout the sacred journey.
