The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a comprehensive weather warning for several regions across northern Pakistan, forecasting rain, thunderstorms, and hail over the next 12 to 24 hours. This alert covers a wide range of areas including the upper parts of Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, signaling potentially disruptive weather conditions ahead.

Specifically, the NDMA has highlighted that cities such as Islamabad, Murree, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Gujranwala, and Hafizabad are expected to experience rainfall. These areas, known for their varying topography and population density, could see significant weather changes that may impact daily activities.

Meanwhile, the northern mountainous regions including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kalam, Mingora, Malakand, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Haripur are also likely to receive precipitation. The forecast extends to other key districts such as Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Charsadda, Kohat, Karak, and Bannu, where rain could be accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms.

In a significant development, the NDMA has also predicted rainfall in parts of Balochistan including Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Qila Saifullah, Chaman, Pishin, and Sibi. Additionally, the Gilgit-Baltistan region encompassing Skardu, Hunza, Nagar, Ghizer, Diamer, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Astore is expected to witness similar weather patterns. Azad Kashmir areas such as Kharmang, Shigar, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Rawalakot, Haveli, Poonch, and Neelum Valley are not exempt from this forecast.

The weather system is anticipated to bring not only rainfall but also thunderstorms, strong winds, and hailstorms across various parts of the country. Residents and authorities in the affected regions are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions to mitigate any adverse effects caused by these weather conditions.
