Tayler Holder has abruptly called off his upcoming When No One’s Around tour, announcing he needs to step back from performing due to ongoing mental health challenges. The 28-year-old country singer and social media influencer shared the news in a heartfelt Instagram message on May 12, apologizing to fans and revealing he had quietly been battling his mental health for several months before reaching a breaking point.
Holder explained that he had been trying to push through his difficulties by dedicating himself fully to his music and supporters, but ultimately recognized he had reached his limit and must prioritize his well-being. He described the decision to cancel the tour as one of the most difficult choices he has ever made.
He expressed regret for disappointing fans who had already made plans and invested money to attend the shows. Despite achieving many of his lifelong goals, Holder admitted to ongoing feelings of loneliness and emptiness. He reflected, “I’m doing everything I’ve ever dreamed of and I still feel so lonely, still feel so unfulfilled,” while emphasizing that performing remains the greatest honor of his career.
Holder intends to use this break from touring to rest, seek professional support, and reconnect with himself, with hopes of returning to the stage stronger and healthier. Notably, the former TikTok star, who boasts over 19 million followers on the platform and more than 4.5 million on Instagram, has increasingly addressed themes of emotional struggle and isolation through his music.
His most recent single, When No One’s Around, released in April, explores feelings of loneliness and disconnection despite outward success. In an April TikTok video, Holder encouraged fans to check in on friends who appear happy, highlighting the song’s message.
The cancelled tour included scheduled performances in St. Louis, Kansas City, Atlanta, and Jacksonville. This development marks a significant moment as Holder prioritizes his mental health over his rising career.
