The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast predicting rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms across various parts of the country, with a focus on northern and mountainous regions. Several districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Dir, Chitral, Malakand, Kohistan, and Buner, are expected to experience rainfall along with gusty winds and thunder.

Meanwhile, isolated showers are anticipated in areas such as Malam Jabba, Kalam, Parachinar, and Abbottabad. Despite these conditions, the weather in the mountainous zones is expected to remain generally pleasant. Notably, Malam Jabba recorded the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours, measuring 67 millimeters.

In a significant development, the PMD has urged residents, especially those living in vulnerable and hilly locations, to take necessary precautions amid the adverse weather. The department also forecasts additional rainfall in Lahore over the coming days.

Conversely, hot and humid weather continues to prevail in Karachi, where temperatures are expected to climb up to 38 degrees Celsius, accompanied by sustained humidity. In the federal capital Islamabad, conditions are predicted to remain hot and dry. Similarly, southern regions of the country are likely to experience predominantly hot and dry weather during this period.
