Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast dedication to peace, while emphasizing the country’s firm resolve to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national honor against any threat. On Saturday, marking the anniversary of Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, the premier expressed gratitude to Allah and paid homage to the extraordinary courage, unwavering determination, and supreme sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and its people.

In the face of aggression, he highlighted that Pakistan remains united in purpose, disciplined in action, and unwavering in faith. The prime minister also commended the visionary and resolute leadership of Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, whose strategic command during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos showcased the exceptional strength, professionalism, and operational excellence of the military. This operation, he noted, reflected the armed forces’ precision, valor, and determination in upholding the nation’s dignity and sovereignty.

PM Shehbaz added that Field Marshal Munir’s bold leadership and steadfast commitment inspired the nation and fortified the armed forces’ resolve during a pivotal moment in Pakistan’s history. He described Marka-e-Haq as an enduring symbol of national unity, resilience, and collective determination to protect Pakistan at all costs. The premier saluted the brave men and women in uniform whose sacrifices continue to reinforce the country’s security and freedom.

He stated that the nation takes pride in every soldier, officer, martyr, and veteran who has upheld Pakistan’s honor with courage and selflessness. In a related development, the service chiefs—Field Marshal Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu—extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation and all military ranks on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a statement describing the day as a testament to enduring courage, professionalism, and unity. It emphasized the unbreakable bond between the armed forces and the people of Pakistan. Across the country, ceremonies are being conducted to commemorate the victory of Marka-e-Haq and honor the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans, including floral wreath-laying at memorials and prayers recognizing their valor and selflessness as the foundation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and stability.

Marka-e-Haq has become a defining milestone in Pakistan’s national journey, symbolizing military excellence, strategic maturity, and unwavering resolve. The success of this operation not only boosted national confidence but also positioned Pakistan as a responsible regional stabilizer with formidable military capabilities. The statement noted that Pakistan’s measured and resolute response during Marka-e-Haq exposed adversarial conspiracies, false flag operations, and disinformation campaigns, thereby diminishing their credibility on the international stage.

Despite facing conventional and hybrid threats, including proxy terrorism, Pakistan’s armed forces demonstrated superior operational competence across land, air, sea, cyber, and information domains. The ISPR statement highlighted that Pakistan has further strengthened its defensive capabilities and full-spectrum deterrence, overcoming resource disparities.

Marka-e-Haq stands as proof of the armed forces’ preparedness, dedication, and professionalism, which have significantly enhanced public confidence. The anniversary also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty while promoting peace and stability in the region. Pakistan maintains that sustainable peace in South Asia can only be realized through meaningful dialogue, mutual respect, and adherence to international law and principles of justice.
