Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan was transferred from Adiala Jail to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Monday for a scheduled follow-up eye treatment. The 74-year-old received his fourth intravitreal injection as part of his ongoing medical care.

Before the procedure, ophthalmologists conducted a thorough examination and confirmed that Khan’s condition was clinically stable. Additionally, an optical coherence tomography (OCT) scan revealed signs of clinical improvement in his eye health.

The injection was administered in an operating theatre following standard medical protocols and continuous monitoring. Surgeons performed the procedure under microscopic guidance after obtaining informed consent from Khan. This intervention was carried out as a day-care surgery, with Khan maintaining vital stability throughout the process.

Following the treatment, Khan was discharged with detailed instructions for further care and scheduled follow-ups. Currently, he remains in custody at Adiala Jail, where he continues to receive periodic medical evaluations and necessary treatments.
