Islamabad Traffic Police Enforce Major Road Closures and Diversions

The Islamabad Traffic Police have initiated a comprehensive traffic management plan involving multiple road closures and diversions across vital routes in the capital. Citizens have been advised to limit non-essential travel and comply with traffic authorities to ensure smooth operations.

Notably, diversions are in place on the Expressway and Srinagar Highway, with alternative paths designated for vehicles traveling from Murree Road and Club Road towards the Red Zone. Public transport access to these major highways has been suspended, and drivers are cautioned against parking at bus stops or service loops to prevent congestion.

In a significant development, several critical locations including Kashmir Chowk, the stretch from Club Road to Zero Point on Srinagar Highway, and parts of Shakarparian Road up to Seventh Avenue have been completely closed to traffic. Meanwhile, sections of Srinagar Highway between Zero Point and Srinagar Chowk remain partially open under controlled traffic flow arrangements.

Additional restrictions affect key corridors such as Jinnah Avenue, Khayaban Chowk, Boulevardia, Faisal Chowk, Trail 3 Margalla Road, and adjacent areas. Authorities have urged residents to exercise patience, adhere to instructions, and avoid unnecessary movement while these traffic control measures are enforced.
