Princess Charlotte’s Easter Outfit Draws Comparisons to Kate Middleton

Princess Charlotte’s Easter ensemble has attracted significant attention, with many observers noting striking parallels to her mother, Kate Middleton. The 10-year-old royal appeared alongside Prince William, the Princess of Wales, and her brothers Prince George and Prince Louis at a church service held at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on April 5. This marked Charlotte’s first public appearance in over three months.

Often described as a “mini-me” of Kate, Charlotte’s Easter outfit reinforced this comparison. She wore a butterscotch Catherine Walker coatdress, previously seen on Christmas Day 2025, paired with a baby blue Self-Portrait dress underneath—a shade closely linked to Kate’s past Easter looks. Kate herself chose a cream Self-Portrait mididress, also a re-wear, with both mother and daughter showcasing a brand favored by royal women. Charlotte completed her look with Tory Burch ballet flats, a label frequently worn by her mother.

This outfit reflects a developing trend in Charlotte’s public wardrobe, which favors classic, refined silhouettes with subtle details. Stylist Charlotte Kewley noted that Charlotte’s style leans towards “timeless, heritage-inspired dressing,” featuring elements such as hair bows, velvet collars, and structured coats. This approach closely aligns with Kate’s fashion philosophy, which emphasizes re-wearing pieces and maintaining an elegant, understated aesthetic.

Beyond fashion, Charlotte has drawn comparisons to her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Royal biographer Robert Hardman highlighted traits shared between them, describing Charlotte as practical and composed. Additionally, sources have remarked that she is “wise beyond her years.” Renowned royal photographer Chris Jackson praised her public presence, observing that she is “growing into such a young lady” with “great poise.”

The Easter service marked Charlotte’s first public appearance since Christmas Day 2025, when she attended church at Sandringham with the royal family. Her return, coupled with her coordinated look alongside Kate, quickly captured public interest, with many royal fans noting the unmistakable resemblance between mother and daughter.
