In a thrilling Pakistan Super League (PSL) encounter at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Yasir Khan’s fiery innings of 83 runs powered Rawalpindiz to a commanding total of 214 against Peshawar Zalmi. This match was the third fixture of the ongoing PSL season, which features eight competitive teams.

Earlier in the tournament, Lahore Qalandars had secured a 69-run victory in the opening match, while Karachi Kings triumphed over Quetta Gladiators in the second game, thanks to Moeen Ali’s unbeaten 48 runs.

Batting first, Rawalpindiz got off to a solid start with openers Yasir Khan and Muhammad Rizwan laying a strong foundation. Yasir dominated the innings with an aggressive 83 off 46 balls, while Rizwan provided steady support, scoring 41 runs from 32 deliveries.

The momentum was sustained as Kamran Ghulam contributed 37 runs and Daryl Mitchell added 23, pushing the total close to 180. Further contributions came from Sam Billings, who scored 18, and Abdullah Fazal with 5 runs. Additionally, 7 extra runs were conceded by Zalmi’s bowlers, helping Rawalpindiz post a formidable total of 214.

Meanwhile, fans were set for more excitement with a double-header, as Multan Sultans and Islamabad United were scheduled to face off later in the day, promising another intense contest in the PSL season.
