Florida authorities have unveiled a new mug shot of golf icon Tiger Woods following a suspected DUI rollover accident near his residence on Jupiter Island last Friday. The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. when Woods’ Land Rover reportedly collided with the rear of a pickup truck before tipping onto its side.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Woods, aged 50, was taken into custody and charged with DUI causing property damage, along with refusal to comply with a lawful test. Witnesses observed Woods exiting the vehicle through the passenger door, and Sheriff John Budensiek noted that Woods exhibited clear signs of impairment. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the crash.
Notably, this is Woods’ second DUI arrest in Florida. His previous booking photo dates back to 2017, when he was found asleep behind the wheel of a damaged car in Palm Beach County. At that time, Woods admitted to using a combination of painkillers and later pled guilty to reckless driving.
In a significant development related to his personal safety, Woods also endured a severe rollover accident in February 2021 in the Palos Verdes area of Los Angeles, where he sustained multiple fractures. Authorities attributed that crash to excessive speed.
The release of this new mug shot has reignited public attention on Woods’ health and personal struggles, as fans reflect on both his celebrated golf career and his recovery from numerous injuries. Officials have yet to announce any forthcoming court dates or additional legal actions connected to this latest incident.
