Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Friday, focusing on the evolving situation in the Middle East and reinforcing the strong bilateral relationship between the two nations.
During the discussion, the prime minister condemned the recent attacks in Kuwait, expressing Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Kuwaiti people during this challenging period. He extended sincere condolences for the lives lost and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
Shehbaz Sharif also updated the Kuwaiti leadership on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic initiatives aimed at fostering peace and resolving conflicts in the region. He emphasized Islamabad’s dedication to playing a constructive role in reducing tensions and promoting stability.
In response, the Kuwaiti crown prince commended the prime minister’s leadership and welcomed Pakistan’s mediation efforts between Iran and the United States. He expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s support amid the crisis and acknowledged the prime minister’s recent letter of solidarity with Kuwait.
Additionally, the crown prince conveyed his intention to visit Pakistan once the situation in the region stabilizes. Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing regional peace and stability through sustained diplomatic engagement.
