Sarah Michelle Gellar, along with her co-stars from Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, were compelled to evacuate a Paris hotel after a fire erupted during their promotional press tour. The blaze reportedly originated in the kitchen, prompting a swift and large-scale evacuation of the luxury hotel where the cast, including Elijah Wood and Kathryn Newton, were staying.
Approximately 400 guests were evacuated as emergency responders, including fire trucks and firefighters, arrived promptly to contain the situation. The incident unfolded amid the ongoing press junket for the film, causing significant disruption as both guests and hotel staff were cleared from the premises for safety.
In a significant development, hotel representatives confirmed that all guests were unharmed and the fire was fully extinguished. They also announced that the hotel and all its facilities have since resumed normal operations.
Despite the alarming event, the film’s stars have not publicly commented on the fire. Kathryn Newton appeared composed in social media updates shortly after the evacuation, indicating the disturbance was brief and managed efficiently.
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come serves as the sequel to the 2019 hit Ready or Not, with Samara Weaving reprising her role as Grace. The storyline follows her character as she once again fights for survival amid rival families vying for control of a powerful throne.
The film is scheduled for release on March 27, and its promotional activities continue despite the unexpected interruption caused by the fire at the Paris hotel.
