Pakistan’s stock market ended the week on a positive note, with the benchmark KSE-100 index advancing by 399.14 points, or 0.23 percent, to close at 175,328.82. This uptick reflected growing investor confidence amid ongoing economic developments.

The trading session saw a positive market breadth, as 258 stocks gained ground, 207 declined, and 104 remained unchanged out of a total of 569 shares traded. The index fluctuated between an intraday low of 174,515.38 and a high of 175,418.29, demonstrating some volatility during the day.

Trading volume was robust, with 259.37 million shares changing hands and a total traded value of approximately Rs16.29 billion. This activity underscored the sustained interest among investors despite recent market fluctuations.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee experienced a slight appreciation against the US dollar in the interbank market. It strengthened by one paisa, closing at Rs277.41 compared to Rs277.42 the previous day. This marginal gain indicated relative stability in the currency market amid ongoing trading activity.

In a significant development, the rupee’s steadiness against the dollar came as investors continued to monitor both domestic economic conditions and global market trends, which have contributed to the recent volatility in the stock exchange.
