Petrol Price Rises by 77 Paisa, Diesel Drops by Rs1.03 in Latest Update

The federal government announced a revision in fuel prices on Monday, adjusting the rates for petrol and High Speed Diesel (HSD) as per the latest directive from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). This update reflects ongoing efforts to balance market dynamics and regulatory policies amid fluctuating global oil prices.

In a significant development, the price of petrol has been raised by 77 paisa per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs342.02 per litre. Conversely, the price of HSD has been decreased by Rs1.03 per litre, setting the new price at Rs371.44 per litre. These changes mark a notable shift in fuel pricing, impacting transportation and logistics sectors across the country.

Notably, this revision follows a brief interval of just two days since the previous adjustment, which was announced last Friday. The rapid succession of price changes underscores the government’s responsive approach to volatile fuel markets and the need to manage economic pressures on consumers and businesses alike.

Meanwhile, the updated fuel prices have been implemented immediately, as stated in the official notification. This prompt enforcement ensures that fuel stations and consumers adjust swiftly to the new rates, maintaining transparency and regulatory compliance throughout the supply chain.
