NAB Karachi Recovers 435 Acres of Land Valued at Rs 2.61 Billion in Thatta

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi has successfully recovered 435 acres of land in Thatta, with an estimated value of Rs 2.61 billion. This recovery highlights the bureau’s ongoing efforts to tackle illegal land grabbing and corruption in the region. The reclaimed land is expected to be returned to its rightful owners or utilized for public welfare projects, ensuring better governance and transparency.

In a significant development, this operation underscores the importance of NAB’s role in safeguarding public assets and curbing unlawful land acquisitions. Illegal land grabbing has been a persistent issue in Sindh, particularly in Thatta, where valuable agricultural and residential land has often been encroached upon by influential individuals. The bureau’s intervention sends a strong message against such practices and reinforces the government’s commitment to accountability.

Meanwhile, this recovery could have broader implications for land management and urban planning in Thatta, potentially paving the way for more regulated development. It also boosts public confidence in anti-corruption institutions and may encourage further actions against similar cases nationwide. The Rs 2.61 billion worth of land retrieval represents a notable victory in the fight against corruption and illegal land dealings in Pakistan.
