10 India-Backed Terrorists Killed in Balochistan’s Khuzdar Amid Ongoing Operations

Security forces eliminated at least 10 terrorists supported by India during a firefight in the Khuzdar district of Balochistan on Saturday. The operation took place in the Shor Parod mountainous area following intelligence about the presence of militants linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Hindustan. Several other terrorists were injured during the encounter.

Authorities remain committed to intensifying operations until the threat of terrorism is fully eradicated from the country. This incident follows a recent event three days earlier, when at least eight terrorists associated with the same Indian-backed group were killed after a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) detonated prematurely while being assembled in the Surab district of Balochistan.

In a follow-up operation, security forces tracked and neutralized 10 terrorists attempting to flee the area. Since 2021, Pakistan has experienced a notable increase in terrorist activities, especially in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan provinces, coinciding with the Afghan Taliban’s rise to power.

a report by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), KP and Balochistan have remained the primary centers of violence in Pakistan during the second quarter of 2026, with KP being the most severely affected region. The report highlighted that these two provinces accounted for nearly 96% of all fatalities related to violence during this period. Specifically, KP recorded over 61% (475) of the deaths, while Balochistan accounted for 34% (265).

Moreover, KP reported the highest number of violent incidents, totaling 151 cases, which represented 57% of the national figure. Balochistan followed with 94 incidents, or 35%, emphasizing the concentration of militant activities in these regions.
