The Norwegian Foreign Minister has commended Pakistan for its active role in mediating between Iran and the United States, describing these efforts as a valuable contribution to global peace. This mediation initiative comes amid longstanding tensions between Tehran and Washington, which have impacted regional stability and international relations. Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement is seen as a constructive approach to easing hostilities and fostering dialogue between the two nations.

Historically, Pakistan has maintained strategic ties with both Iran and the US, positioning itself uniquely to facilitate communication and negotiation. The Norwegian FM’s remarks underscore the significance of Pakistan’s diplomacy in a complex geopolitical landscape marked by sanctions, security concerns, and regional rivalries. Such mediation efforts not only help reduce bilateral tensions but also contribute to broader international security and cooperation.

In a significant development, Pakistan’s mediation is viewed as a service to the world, reflecting its commitment to peaceful conflict resolution and multilateral diplomacy. This role enhances Pakistan’s standing on the global stage and demonstrates the potential of smaller states to influence major international issues positively. Meanwhile, the success of these efforts could pave the way for further diplomatic breakthroughs in the Middle East and beyond.
