IHC Halts FIA Recruitment Exam Results Amidst Applicant Complaints

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued an order preventing the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from announcing the results of its recent recruitment examinations. This development comes after a petition was filed challenging the integrity and conduct of the examination process.

Justice Azam Khan presided over the hearing, which was initiated by a petition submitted by Yasir Arafat. The court also served notices to the FIA and other relevant parties, requesting their formal responses regarding the allegations raised in the petition.

During the proceedings, the petitioner’s legal representative contended that the recruitment test included questions that were beyond the prescribed syllabus, raising concerns about the fairness and transparency of the examination. It was further highlighted that the petitioner had formally lodged a complaint with the FIA addressing these irregularities prior to approaching the court.

Advocate Afrasiab Ahmed Rana represented the petitioner and elaborated on the arguments challenging the test’s validity. In a significant development, the IHC directed the FIA to withhold the declaration of the recruitment exam results until the court reaches a final decision on the matter. The hearing was subsequently adjourned, with the court reserving judgment for a later date.
