Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni was formally welcomed with a guard of honour at Islamabad Police Lines on Tuesday as part of his official visit to Pakistan. The ceremonial reception featured a well-disciplined police contingent presenting the honour to the visiting dignitary.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry accompanied Momeni during the event, underscoring the significance of the visit. The Iranian minister arrived in Islamabad late Monday night for a two-day trip focused on strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.
Upon arrival at the parade ground, Momeni was greeted warmly and enthusiastically by the assembled police personnel. The visit aims to foster cooperation in key areas such as border management, internal security, counterterrorism, and broader regional collaboration.
During his stay, the Iranian minister is scheduled to engage in discussions with senior Pakistani officials to address these mutual concerns and enhance partnership efforts.
