Information Minister Atta Tarar expressed strong disapproval on Sunday over comments made by Noreen Niazi, which he said have ignited public outrage. He accused her of making statements that have been exploited by Indian media to Pakistan’s detriment.

Tarar highlighted that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is leveraging these remarks to attempt a political comeback. He emphasized that political ambitions should never come at the expense of the nation’s reputation. Addressing critics, he remarked that their political relevance has already diminished.

In a pointed critique, the minister accused the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government of complacency, describing it as being in a state of “deep sleep.” He added that opposition parties have refused to acknowledge Pakistan’s accomplishments following the success of the Marka-e-Haq operation.

Tarar underscored that Marka-e-Haq brought Pakistan international recognition and praise. He noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir have been lauded globally for their leadership roles. him, the international community views Pakistan’s leadership as triumphant and its achievements as significant milestones.

He further stated that political adversaries have struggled to accept this victory and are instead attempting to undermine Pakistan’s image for their own political benefit. Tarar condemned any disrespect towards the state for political gain, asserting that the country’s strength is essential for the continuation of politics.

Concluding, the minister expressed optimism about Pakistan’s trajectory towards progress and development, reiterating that the nation’s successes, particularly in Marka-e-Haq, are gaining worldwide acknowledgment.
