    US Celebrates 250th Independence Day, Credits Pakistan for US-Iran Peace Role

    The United States commemorated its 250th Independence Day with a distinguished ceremony held at Lahore Fort, where the US Consul General acknowledged Pakistan’s significant contribution to fostering peace between the US and Iran. The event also underscored the strengthening ties between the two nations.

    Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and the US Consul General were present at the celebration. During his address, the US Consul General expressed gratitude to the Punjab government for hosting the event and emphasized the positive trajectory of Pakistan-US relations.

    He specifically recognized Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their pivotal roles in advancing peace initiatives, including Pakistan’s support in the US-Iran peace process. Furthermore, he highlighted ongoing collaboration between Pakistan and the United States in the field of education.

    In her remarks, Maryam Aurangzeb conveyed the congratulations of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to Americans worldwide on the occasion of the 250th Independence Day. She emphasized that Pakistan and the US would continue to strengthen cooperation not only in education but also in technology, investment, climate change, and tourism.

    Maryam Aurangzeb praised the leadership of the Prime Minister and Field Marshal for fortifying Pakistan’s position and described the bilateral relationship as one rooted in trust and peace. She also reflected on the United States’ history of sacrifice and extended her felicitations to American citizens, noting that recent months have seen further enhancement of bilateral ties.
