Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, firmly rejected the unfounded rumors about any imminent changes in the Prime Minister’s Office following the approval of the federal budget for 2026-27. Addressing the media on Saturday, the senior PML-N leader cautioned against those spreading false information, emphasizing that such efforts aim to destabilize the country by creating confusion through fabricated stories.

When questioned about the speculation regarding the replacement of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Sanaullah dismissed these claims as misleading and inaccurate. He highlighted that the prime minister is effectively guiding the nation and has significantly improved Pakistan’s standing on the international stage. Sanaullah noted, “Pakistan has earned recognition and respect worldwide.” He also praised Shehbaz Sharif’s dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment, which have garnered admiration from diverse segments of society.

Further, Sanaullah underscored the premier’s leadership qualities and his persistent efforts to tackle the country’s challenges, which have been widely acknowledged. On another note, he reiterated the government’s openness to dialogue with opposition parties. He recalled that even during his party’s time in opposition, despite legal actions against its leaders, they remained committed to the democratic process.

Turning to regional matters, Sanaullah remarked that the lifting of sanctions on Iran is expected to positively influence Pakistan’s economy by opening new opportunities for trade and economic collaboration. Regarding the political landscape in Gilgit-Baltistan, he stated that the PML-N intends to serve as a constructive opposition. He added that the Pakistan Peoples Party secured the largest number of seats in the region and is currently engaging with other parties to form a coalition government.
