    Canadian FM Commends Pakistan’s Role in US-Iran Diplomatic Talks

    Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand on Thursday, focusing on recent diplomatic developments between the United States and Iran. Anand acknowledged Pakistan’s significant role in facilitating the understanding reached between the two nations.

    They also discussed the upcoming meeting scheduled for Friday in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, where the involved parties are set to continue their dialogue. This meeting is seen as a crucial step in advancing the diplomatic process.

    In a notable development, the Canadian Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s proactive efforts in supporting diplomatic engagement and mediation, which have been instrumental in progressing talks between Washington and Tehran. Both ministers emphasized the importance of maintaining ongoing communication to build upon the current momentum.

    Turning to bilateral relations, the leaders reviewed the positive trajectory of ties between Pakistan and Canada. They committed to enhancing cooperation across various sectors of mutual interest, including trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.

    The conversation highlighted the steady increase in engagement between the two countries in recent times. Both sides agreed on the necessity of regular high-level interactions to deepen mutual understanding and promote shared goals on the international stage.

    This dialogue is part of Pakistan’s wider diplomatic outreach to key global partners amid shifting regional and international dynamics.
