    PAF Trainer Aircraft Crashes Near Mardan, Two Pilots Killed

    A Pakistan Air Force training aircraft crashed during a routine training flight near Mardan on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of two pilots. The incident has been confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

    The fallen pilots have been identified as Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Qasim Abdullah from the Pakistan Air Force and Lieutenant Taha Abbasi of the Pakistan Navy. In response, Air Headquarters has formed a board of inquiry to investigate the cause of the crash.

    In a significant development, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, along with other service chiefs and members of the Pakistan Armed Forces, expressed profound sorrow over the loss and extended their condolences to the families of the deceased.

    Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his deep grief over the tragic accident. He offered heartfelt condolences to the families of Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Qasim Abdullah and Lieutenant Taha Abbasi, describing the event as profoundly sorrowful. The prime minister prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyred officers and assured that the government stands firmly with their families, asking for patience and strength for them during this difficult time. He also commended the professionalism and dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the nation, praising their unmatched service.

    Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also expressed his condolences, paying tribute to the pilots, Captain Qasim and Captain Talha, acknowledging their sacrifice in the line of duty. He extended sympathy to the bereaved families and reaffirmed the government’s support. Additionally, Naqvi prayed for the speedy recovery of three individuals who sustained injuries in the crash.

    Notably, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz voiced her grief over the accident near Mardan. She honored the two fallen pilots and offered her condolences to their families, while also praying for the quick recovery of those injured in the incident.
