In a compelling all-Ukrainian showdown at the French Open quarter-finals, Elina Svitolina and Marta Kostyuk are engaged in a fiercely competitive match on Court Philippe-Chatrier in Paris.

Svitolina secured the first set with a 6-3 win, but Kostyuk fought back decisively, taking the second set 6-2 to push the contest into a decisive third set. Currently, Svitolina holds a narrow lead at 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 and is serving at 40-30 in the ongoing game.

The match has been remarkably balanced, with both players generating seven break-point chances and converting three each. Svitolina has accumulated 65 points overall, slightly ahead of Kostyuk’s 62, highlighting the close nature of the encounter.

Kostyuk has delivered two aces, while Svitolina has yet to serve one. Both competitors have faced challenges with their serves, combining for five double faults during the match.

A key factor in Svitolina’s slight advantage in the final set has been her superior performance on second-serve points, winning 56 percent compared to Kostyuk’s 32 percent.

The winner of this gripping quarter-final will advance to the French Open semi-finals. The match is still underway, with the final outcome yet to be decided.
