Pakistan’s automotive industry has demonstrated notable growth in both production and sales of vehicles and motorcycles during the ongoing fiscal year. Significant activity was recorded throughout the first 10 months of FY 2025–26, spanning from July 2025 to April 2026.

Detailed data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) reveals consistent expansion across various automotive categories. Cars, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles all contributed to this upward trend, reflecting the sector’s resilience.

Specifically, production of vehicles with engine capacities of 1,300cc and above reached 68,022 units, while sales closely followed at 66,997 units. For 1,000cc vehicles, production totaled 3,894 units with sales slightly higher at 4,259 units. Vehicles with engines below 1,000cc saw production of 58,995 units alongside sales of 55,493 units.

Meanwhile, the electric vehicle segment, although still emerging, showed encouraging signs of growth with 270 units produced and 293 sold during this period.

In the commercial vehicle category, production of jeeps and pickups amounted to 38,094 units, with sales reaching 39,002 units. Truck production stood at 6,174 units, with sales recorded at 5,890 units. Bus production and sales were nearly equal, with 799 units produced and 797 units sold.

The agricultural machinery sector also contributed, with tractor production hitting 24,209 units and sales totaling 23,116 units.

Motorcycles remained the dominant segment within the industry, with an impressive 1.592 million units produced and 1.587 million sold. Additionally, three-wheelers experienced solid activity, producing 33,733 units and selling 32,593 units.

Overall, these figures underscore the ongoing growth and robustness of Pakistan’s automotive sector throughout the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026.
