Kuwait has officially set the commencement date for its new regulation prohibiting outdoor work during the hottest hours of the day. This measure aims to safeguard laborers from the severe heat conditions that prevail in the region, particularly during the summer months. The ban will restrict outdoor work during midday, a period known for peak temperatures that pose health risks such as heatstroke and dehydration.

In a significant development, this policy reflects Kuwait’s commitment to improving occupational health and safety standards, especially for construction and other outdoor labor sectors. The decision aligns with similar initiatives in Gulf countries, where extreme heat has increasingly threatened worker welfare. Authorities have emphasized the importance of this regulation to reduce heat-related illnesses and fatalities among outdoor workers.

Meanwhile, the implementation of this ban is expected to impact work schedules and project timelines, prompting employers to adjust shifts and operational hours accordingly. The move also highlights growing awareness and responsiveness to climate challenges in the region. Overall, this step marks progress in protecting vulnerable workers and promoting safer working environments in Kuwait.
